The Virginia Peninsula Community College men's basketball team overcame a slow start to down Mid-Atlantic Christian University's JV team 90-64 on Monday, Nov. 25. The Gators (4-1) trailed early on before tying the game at 11. They led 41-34 at the half and were never threatened in the final 20 minutes.
Keshaun Johnson, a forward from Nansemond River High School, scored 20 points. Jakobe Reed (G/Woodside High School) followed with 16 points, including three 3-pointers; and Sincere Moore (G/Matoaca High School) added 12 points.
